Real Weddings • Herefordshire
I don’t need to tell you Herefordshire is a beautiful place to get married — I’d rather show you what I’ve actually filmed here.
These are real weddings at Bredenbury Court, Brinsop Court and Hampton Castle, each completely different in how the day looked, moved and felt.
Cinematic wedding films built around voices, people, movement and the moments you’ll want back years from now.
A selection of wedding films I have made at venues across Herefordshire.

June 2024
A castle wedding with a courtyard ceremony, castle gardens, golden-hour portraits, a sword cake-cutting and a packed live-band dance floor.

June 2026
A country house wedding at Brinsop Court near Hereford, filmed in June 2026.

August 2026
A barn wedding at Bredenbury Court Barns near Bromyard.
Three venues aren’t the whole of Herefordshire, and I’m not going to pretend they are. But they are different enough to have taught me quite a lot about filming weddings here.
HISTORIC BUILDINGS CHANGE THE WAY YOU WORK
At venues like Brinsop Court and Hampton Castle, the wedding can move through very different spaces during the same day. That means thinking ahead about cameras, sound and where the important moments are happening next rather than repeatedly carrying everything from one end of the estate to the other.
OUTDOOR CEREMONIES NEED ADAPTABILITY
Courtyards, gardens and open ceremony spaces look fantastic, but wind and changing sunlight matter for both picture and sound. I use professional audio with proper wind protection and adjust the cameras around the conditions rather than interrupting the ceremony.
THE GROUNDS GIVE US OPTIONS WITHOUT NEEDING A PHOTOSHOOT
At Hampton Castle especially, we could have kept finding new places to film until the light disappeared. My preference is still to keep the couple session relatively short: guide you enough to make it look good, use the strongest locations, then get you back to the wedding.
THE PLACE MATTERS — BUT THE PEOPLE MATTER MORE
Beautiful buildings are useful. They're not what makes me want to watch a wedding film again. The voices, reactions, hugs, family, speeches and things nobody planned are normally what become more important with time.
GUIDED, NOT STAGED
During the couple session I'll give you simple direction when it helps — where to stand, something to do, or a little movement that works with the light. For most of the wedding I'm watching what happens naturally rather than repeatedly asking people to perform things for camera.
VOICES MATTER
Ceremony audio is always recorded with professional microphones and appropriate wind protection. Vows, speeches and the words people actually said are preserved rather than being replaced by music.
THE FULL MOMENTS ARE KEPT
The cinematic highlight tells the story of the day, but I also preserve the ceremony and speeches in full. Those longer moments often become more valuable with time because they contain the voices and people you may want to hear again years later.
I ADAPT TO THE VENUE
Every venue works differently. I position cameras and audio around the room and the light I'm given rather than changing the wedding to suit the camera. Outdoor ceremonies, difficult backlight and darker rooms are normal problems to solve.
EASY TO WORK ALONGSIDE
I work alongside your photographer rather than around them. At previous Herefordshire weddings I've worked with photographers I'd never met before, and the combination works well when both of us are considerate of the other person's space.
Ceri and Dave were married at Brinsop Court in Herefordshire. They kindly recorded this testimonial about their experience of working with me.
Review from Eastnor Castle
“Chris was fantastic from start to finish. We only had him for filming but the quality of the work he produced was incredible. The film of our wedding day is absolutely stunning and we could not be happier with it. He is professional, discreet on the day, and genuinely lovely to deal with. We would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for a wedding videographer.”
